This report presents an extensive overview of the current regulations and forthcoming regulatory initiatives relevant to automated vehicles and their use. Laws and regulations play a vital role in the safe and efficient integration of automated vehicles into our transportation system. Well thought-out rules can maximise the technology’s benefits, minimise risks, and foster public trust.

The project, focusing on regulatory aspects, brings together representatives from industry, authorities, and research at quarterly roundtables to facilitate dialogue and exchange experiences. These discussions support companies in advancing technology development, testing, and implementation in the field of automated driving, while offering authorities valuable insights into industry interpretations of regulations.
