”This opportunity builds on a highly successful collaboration between Singapore and Drive Sweden a few years ago. Back then—just before the pandemic—several joint initiatives were set in motion following a series of bilateral meetings. However, progress was halted when Covid struck. It’s therefore encouraging to see this partnership between two leading mobility nations being revitalized and moving forward once again,” says Malin Andersson, Program Director of Drive Sweden.

On 20 November 2024, the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance cooperation in sustainable transport solutions. This agreement focuses on key areas such as the electrification of vehicles, transport cybersecurity, digitalization of transport and mobility systems, and enhancing road safety.

  • This MOU signifies a deepened commitment between Sweden and Singapore to address global transportation challenges and co-create innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
  • It highlights both nations’ shared vision of leveraging cutting-edge technology to create efficient, resilient, and environmentally friendly transport systems.
  • For Swedish companies, this MOU presents unique opportunities to engage in joint projects, share expertise, and gain access to Singapore's progressive transport ecosystem.
  • It positions Swedish firms as pivotal players in shaping the future of mobility in the region, fostering partnerships, and driving impactful change.

Would you like to take advantage of this MOU to address the needs of Singapore? Or looking to expand your business to Singapore or Asia? Perhaps interested to discover R&D collaborations? Or looking to find new leads or potential investors?

Well, the time is now! Business Sweden Singapore is hosting a delegation from 6 to 8 May tailored for Swedish Mobility companies to unlock and accelerate their potential in the region. By capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the newly signed MOU, this exclusive initiative offers a unique platform to connect with key stakeholders.

Participants will have the chance to pitch their business to potential buyers, collaborate on R&D initiatives with leading universities, and uncover fresh opportunities for growth and innovation within Singapore’s dynamic mobility ecosystem.

Last day to sign up is 14th February. Currently, the delegation has 5 spots remaining.
