Traffic safety
A large number of people are injured and killed every year in road transport. Despite the fact that Sweden has a zero vision for the number of dead and seriously injured in traffic, there are still far too many who die each year. Drive Sweden believes the introduction of automated driving should take place in such a way that risks of accidents are reduced compared to today. Several of our projects investigate how this can be done, or how other types of digital technology and shared data can be used to increase traffic safety. Can accidents even be predicted, and thus be avoided, by vehicles in the future?
