Multi-Fleet Coordination and Collaboration - integrating vehicles and riders

(2022-2023) The Swedish bus industry is an important and socially responsible function for Sweden's transport infrastructure and is a significant resource when it comes to the transition to sustainable travel. By paving the way for small and medium-sized bus operators, to be able to offer new modern interfaces and applications through digitalisation, real-time integrated transport that promotes shared mobility in the long term is created.

The project will develop an innovative and unique, digital collaboration platform for standardized sharing of passenger and vehicle data within the bus industry's business network.

Expected results and effects
This project will investigate and show how different types of real-time data can create direct business benefits and new collaboration opportunities and functions for both B2B customers and travelers, and thus contribute to more attractive and accessible bus transports. Through an open platform, new companies can easily join and in collaboration create a connected ecosystem that strengthens the bus industry's attractiveness.

Digital solution & connection
A sharp traffic pilot will be implemented where, among other things, participating companies' fleets will be connected. The project coordinator Veridict will provide the technical solutions that will be implemented during the project. Amongst;

  • Connection with vehicle computer in buses
  • Monitoring of vehicles in real time via map view
  • Digital passenger count in vehicles
  • New modern mobile applications for private and corporate customers
