Background, Problem, and Current Situation

CCAM stands for Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility, a broad field encompassing various levels of automated functions, such as self-driving vehicles. This area holds significant potential to enhance traffic safety and increase societal accessibility. Achieving these goals requires extensive cooperation at both national and international levels among industry, authorities, and academia.

One of the most important partnerships working to promote CCAM is the EU's CCAM Partnership, established in 2021. Drive Sweden is a member of the CCAM Partnership, along with several of Drive Sweden's partners. Previous Drive Sweden projects have facilitated increased international engagement, and this needs to be further scaled up. This includes engaging more Swedish partners, especially stakeholders, scaling up projects with EU-funded resources, and influencing policy and regulations at the EU level.

Purpose and Objectives of the Project

CCAM Sweden aims to gather and engage Swedish and Nordic stakeholders in the field of cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM). The goal is to leverage and increase stakeholder engagement in various networks, particularly the EU's CCAM Partnership, to better understand the needs for service development, enhance knowledge in the area, and contribute to roadmaps and other strategic documents.

The project work will be conducted through environmental scanning, workshops, interviews, and literature studies.

Expected project outcomes will include a better understanding of the needs of societal stakeholders, as well as analyses and recommendations on how to best implement CCAM services. The results can, for instance, be used to increase the knowledge level in Sweden about CCAM and encourage more entities to test and develop CCAM services, such as by participating in EU-funded projects.
