Great progress within digital infrastructure

Tuesday, December 17, 2019

On November 27th results from projects within our thematic area Digital Infrastructure were presented to a packed venue, at an event called Data sharing and Control Towers - results from Drive Sweden projects. The interest was great as to what these highly relevant projects address such as CAT (Connected Automated Truck), connected traffic control, data sharing and how to utilise the full potential of ot use the Drive Sweden Innovation Cloud.

The core of the theme Digital infrastructure is that automated vehicles and new mobility services will benefit heavily from being connected and managed on a system level, rather than having ”autonomous” vehicles and services independently trying to operate mainly based on local sensors and local intelligence.

The progress made within this thematic area is clear. Presenters could showcase working models to connect and use real time traffic data, the connected and automated truck from Einride, new functions for cooperative driver assistance and how the Innovation Cloud can evolve and be used.
