Autonomous mobility from a societal perspective

In an interview in the Swedish magazine 'Ny Teknik' (New Technology), Jan Hellåker, program manager of Drive Sweden, shares his thoughts and insights regarding the challenges that are linked to automated transports. He emphasizes the importance of the new technology being applied from a societal perspective.

Mobility can be seen more as a service in the future, where autonomous cars will enable more carpooling and carsharing.

"We will not need to have our own car. We will be able to solve the same transport needs we have today, but with a much more efficient technology," Jan Hellåker says.

Something that can contribute to this development is that more and more young people are increasingly demanding a service, not the actual thing.
