Shared mobility services have the potential to reduce the need to own and use a car, but for this to be realized, both supply and demand need to increase. A lubricant for the industry and an important tool for employers, property owners, and public actors is to create incentives through various types of subsidies, which today only occurs to a limited extent in a few specialized solutions.

In the Drive Sweden project Mobility Wallet, a broad consortium of actors has developed a blueprint for an open and scalable system solution. This solution is based on today's established and secure payment systems and aims to simplify the trade and financing of mobility among all actors in a larger ecosystem, allowing for the management and tracking of subsidies.
