The mobility of the future is data-driven and collaborative – how do we create value together?
Developments in ITS, digitalization and AI are moving fast and the opportunities are many when it comes to transport infrastructure and road safety work, but with that also come challenges. To contribute to a shift in this area, Drive Sweden and InfraSweden have created a Network for Digitalization in Infrastructure and Mobility. The first meeting was held digitally in November 2025. Now we will meet physically in Gothenburg for a second meeting on May 12.
The theme of the meeting this time is The ITS of the future is here – how do we create benefits together. The background is that basic infrastructure is about to be rolled out that enables new types of digital services and it is time to think about how we can best together create benefits from the services that the infrastructure enables. We will also discuss what new opportunities the development can provide for municipalities, road managers, entrepreneurs and other actors in infrastructure and mobility.
During the day we will hear about the efforts being made within the Swedish Transport Administration to get the infrastructure in place and we will also hear about a number of projects that have built services based on this infrastructure. The services we will discuss concern road works (Road Works Warning), Traffic Signal (Traffic Signal Priority) and emergency vehicles (Emergency Vehicle Approaching). We will also hear about similar efforts in Finland and the Netherlands and there will be time for discussions and workshops to discuss how we as different actors in this ecosystem should best act going forward.
This event will be held in English.
