How we work

Within Drive Sweden, large and small companies, public organisations, universities and research institutes collaborate in projects and program activities. By getting to know each other's perspectives, needs and driving forces, we find the fastest way to implement and commercialize new solutions.

Program logic

To reach our goals, Drive Sweden works in four different ways. We are a knowledge node where project results are disseminated and discussed. We co-fund innovation projects. We have an international commitment, primarily in Europe and the USA. The program's innovation agenda, project portfolio and program logic are decided by the board, events and program activities are carried out together with the Program Office. Program activities

Drive Sweden invites you to meetings, seminars and conferences to increase the spread of knowledge and strengthen networks and collaborations. Project results and difficulties encountered by the projects are discussed, and if many projects encounter similar obstacles, it may become an issue for our program supporting labs and networks. Our program office participates in planning and implementation and the office administers the activities. Read more about our events and register here.

Neutral meeting place for the digitalization of transport systems

Transport systems are complex socio-technical systems where change is not only driven by technology, but by the interaction with infrastructure, legislation and market demand.

Implementing new technology and mobility services requires that many organizations agree on new roles and rules, and that business models, regulations, decision-making processes and user behaviors change in harmony. In Drive Sweden, partner organizations develop in parallel and in agreement. Together, we tackle aspects that make implementation and commercialization difficult when transport systems are digitalized.

Focus Areas

Drive Sweden focuses its work on the areas of Automated Transportation, Car and Ride Sharing, Data and Digital Infrastructure and Micromobility and Micrologistics. For each area, there is a focus group with representatives from the board and program office who drive the work in accordance with our innovation agenda.

Internationalization

The progress made within the Drive Sweden platform has attracted a great deal of interest around the world. A testament to that is, among other things, that we have partners from about 20 different countries. Through an increased international engagement, we are addressing the increased global interest in Drive Sweden while opening up new opportunities for knowledge-sharing and networking that can fuel the work to solve the challenges of future mobility.

In order to change our current mobility system to a connected, automated and sustainable system, cooperation between different kinds of stakeholders is necessary. Drive Sweden is an ecosystem of about 200 partners from industry, society and academia that together develop, test and implement efficient, connected, shared and automated transport solutions.
