Drive Sweden celebrates over 100 partners to date

Monday, December 17, 2018

In its third year of operation Drive Sweden’s network now consists of more than 100 partners. All of them are, in different ways, engaged in finding innovative and sustainable solutions for tomorrow’s mobility.

Just recently, several organisations from around the globe became new partners, as applications from Arthur D. Little, Amazon Web Services, Applied Autonomy, Baidu, CiaoCiao Carsharing, Cityzapnow, NVIDIA, Ohmio, Pantonium, Smoove, Springworks, Swedspot, Veoneer and VOI  were approved by the supervisory board.

- Starting with only 17 founding partners, this is a big milestone for Drive Sweden, says Jan Hellåker, Program Director.

- Now, over a third of our partners are headquartered outside of Sweden and  20% of our partners didn’t even exist when the program started three years ago. This illustrates both an impressive expansion of the areas linked to future mobility, as well as the interest in collaboration and cross-functional ways of working.

Drive Sweden strives to design and pilot mobility solutions that are safer, more efficient, more environment-friendly, more affordable - while also reclaiming valuable space in cities.

However, in order for this to happen there is a need to work in a cross-functional way. For example, a vehicle manufacturer cannot trigger this development only by itself, neither can a city facilitate the transformation of mobility without working closely with lots of other stakeholders.
