Wednesday, April 27, 2016

On Thursday, April 28, Minister for Infrastructure Anna Johansson will deliver a speech about the government’s work on self-driving vehicles at a public event arranged by the innovation program, Drive Sweden. After the speech, Anna Johansson will take a test drive of self-driving mini buses, the Swedish Government Offices have reported in a press release.

Drive Sweden started in spring 2015 and is an innovation program funded by the SwedishEnergy Agency, the Swedish Research Council Formas and Sweden’s innovation agency VINNOVA. Drive Sweden’s main purpose is to exploit opportunities and address challenges posed by driverless vehicles on the roads.

Drive Sweden is arranging its first-ever public event on Thursday, April 28, as part of Kista Mobility Week, which is currently underway.

Minister for Infrastructure Anna Johansson recently received a progress report from the committee for driverless vehicles appointed by the government in November 2015, and will discuss the government’s work on this matter further.

Time: Thursday, April 28, 1:00 p.m.
Place: Kista, Stockholm.
